Google celebrates 101st Birthday of Akira Yoshizawa the grandmaster of Origami. For years, children across the world utilized the paper folding technique to make objects like boats, ships, aeroplanes till Yoshizawa developed the craft into a form of art. He turned a child’s past time into a three-dimensional magic, diagram by diagram and model by model. Yoshizawa died in Tokyo in March 2005.

Yoshizawa was born on March 14, 1911 in Kaminokawa, Japan, into a family of dairy farmers. He peregrinate to Tokyo when he was just 13 years old to take a job in a factory. During his days at the factory, he taught employees basic geometry where he used Origami as a teaching tool.

Yoshizawa acquired his immensely colossal break in 1951, when a Japanese magazine asked him to create models of the 12 signs of the Japanese zodiac. The exposure catapulted him to international fame. His work has since been exhibited across the world and several books have been published on the art form.

The doodle on Google’s home page is adorned with ready-to-flutter butterflies popularised by Yoshizawa. Each letter of the Google’s logo too has been given the appearance of a paper folding design just like in the Origami art form.

New Jersey was just a signature of the governor away from passing legalized online gambling in the spring (with both state legislative houses passing the measure) but governor Chris Christie ultimately chose not to sign it, putting plans for legal online gambling in New Jersey on hold for now. The District of Columbia passed a similar law that legalizes online poker, and other states including California and Nevada are in the advanced stages of putting together their own online gambling bills.

Just as is the case when a brick and mortar casino opens, legalized online gambling could have meant more jobs for New Jersey — up to 60,000 new jobs according to a study completed by the Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association (iMEGA). While the types of jobs created would be far different than that of a traditional casino (with IT workers and customer service representatives being hired instead of blackjack dealers and cocktail waitresses), the net result is similar, with an estimated $500 million injected into New Jersey’s economy as well according to the iMEGA study.

With many US states wrestling with struggling economies and high unemployment more and more are looking at every way possible to shore up state finances, and online gambling is a natural fit, especially in states like New Jersey that already have brick-and-mortar casinos. The same residents that enjoy a night at the casino playing roulette or slots are likely to play at online sites as well, which could add much needed cash to many state budgets offering legal online sites.

It has reported that many developers and film makers are eying for 3D products and movies respectively to catch the upcoming market in the digital world.

Recent Japan earthquake has postponed launch of iPhone 5 due to supply constraint of various parts which are sourced many from Japanese firm. However, rumour has been that iPAD 3 will be as soon as early this fall, but one of Apple company spokesman denied this rumour.

Apple’s previous releases of all the product such as  iPhone or iPAD; they gives a gap of minimum of one year, so looking at iPAD 3 next spring 2012 is more realistic. Interestingly, iPhone 5 will not be launched this June due to lack of supply constraint for iPhone 5. Apple rarely comments on rumour, it is scepticism to look for iPAD 3 any time sooner.

People from many foreign countries such as  Germany, France including United Kingdom fly to Switzerland for assisted suicide because it is illegal in their country and could face life sentence if found guilty. This made Swiss to feel the pressure from other parts of the world to stop “assisted suicide”.

Germany tops the list of highest no of assisted suicide in the Swiss soil followed by France and UK according to survey taken at Dignitas clinic near Zurich.

Time has come for taking real action against such practice and Swiss people always had hands on taking important political decision and each individual right plays important factor and it is a system of direct democracy.

For Swiss citizens, assisted suicide has been legal for many decades because they believe that individual should have right to choose “when and how to die”.

One of biggest assisted suicide organization has shut down its operation in Switzerland.

Swiss government is watching very keenly on Zurich’s vote on this issue of assisted suicide and will amend the federal law accordingly.

Lenovo has more than 50 developers from various parts of the world for developing games for Eedoo iSec. World’s largest populated country, China, is set to become biggest market for gaming; its huge demand is driven by growing young population. According to one study, there are more than 265m gamers who plays online in the year 2009.

The games console is likely to be priced at $60 and various iSec games will available online for the sales at around $1 and $10. Experts believe that gaming experience will be better than that of Kinect and it poses major threat for Microsoft as it is under-priced to reach the market.

Initially, Lenovo is set to roll the gaming console to Chinese market and later on planned to launch worldwide. Lenovo’s concept of selling games online is seen to curb the piracy similar to that of Apple’s iTunes. Moreover, Games are also targeted to be similar to that of iPad, iPhone.

This console opens market other than gaming such as medical and fitness usage which are seen as growing market in years to come.

George Mitchell, Former US Middle East Envoy (2009 - 2011)

US envoy George Mitchell, who was peace envoy to Middle East has resigned from the role after two years of service.

George Mitchell is known for peace deal in Northern Ireland who was also a former senator stepped down siting personal issues as reasons from 20 May 2011. During his tenure as envoy to Middle East, he has played major role in trying to bring peace between two long fought countries Israel and Palestine.

In a statement, “As he returns to his family, George leaves behind a proud legacy of dedicated public service and the country owes him a debt of gratitude for his extraordinary commitment”, US President Obama says.

He also honoured Mr. Mitchell for his “deep commitment to resolving conflict and advancing democracy”. Mr. Mitchell resignation comes when US is determined to change the strategy towards Middle East after the dead of US most wanted terrorist Osama Bin Laden in Abbottabad on 2 May.

Mr.Mitchell, 77, has cited personal reasons for quitting most important job of Obama’s administration, he has travelled back and forth to Israel and Palestine but his peace efforts didn’t mature well between these two conflicts nations.

US President Obama is expected to speak about his new strategy towards Middle East early next week and before Israel Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu visits White House on May 20.

David Hale is serving as acting envoy to Middle East following Mr. Mitchell’s resignation. US President Obama says “I have every confidence in David’s ability to continue to make progress in this important effort”.

It is learnt that Osama Bin Laden has hands on every major threats around worldwide since 9/11, he has encouraged his followers to not just target big cities but concentrate on smaller cities like Los Angeles as they didn’t made any significant attacks after 9/11.

Plots were laid out to attack Europe last year which put all the embassies and airports around the world on red alert including India.

Attacks were planned on American soil on important dates such as America’s Independence Day, Anniversary of 11^th September 2001 attack on Twin Towers etc.,

Further, Osama Bin Laden has calculated that only body counts of tens of thousands of American which will shift US policies of Middle East.

US special intelligence unit are in process of analyzing as many as 100 flash drives, few computers seized by US Navy SEALS on 2^nd May 2011.

Bin Laden’s family has heavily condemned the US for “arbitrary killing” and not captured him alive when Osama Bin Laden was not armed.

Initial reports from US officials had various version of story that Osama had gun and later confirmed that he was unarmed but his moves were dangerous which lead SEAL team to take him down. However, US Attorney General has claimed that killing Osama Bin Laden was “an act of national self-defence”.

Google is known to rule the world of online advertising with its product ‘Google Adsense’ for publisher and ‘Google Adwords’ for advertisers.

Google Adwords is under scanner by US Justice Department; Google has said that it has reserved $500 million for any unforeseen charges, if convicted.

Even European Commission is taking up similar study about Google advertising program and this comes to heart of discussion as Google post revenue at $8.3 billion in first quarter of 2011.

As Google set aside its profit of $ 500 million, it revised its profit to $1.8 billion from $2.3 billion for the first quarter.

Various major parties in Tamil Nadu state election are Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Congress , Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), Bhartiye Janta Party (BJP),   Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), PCK, CPI and CPM.

According to recent survey,  present ruling party of the Tamil Nadu DMK, is predicted to lose  the election and AIADMK is set to form the government.

Total number of seats in Tamil Nadu State election stands at 234, it is projected that AIDMK party will win over 100 seats followed by DMK – 75, DMDK – 25, Congress  10, PCK – 9 , CPI -8, CPM -4 , BJP – 2 and finally PMK  with 1 seat.
